It was the kind of day where you have a hard time finding anything wrong with the world. The sun was shining. The breeze was blowing the soft scent of blackberry blossoms all around. The warm air was reminiscent of a morning down the shore. It was so full of promise…. literally dream-like.
It was a day filled with climbing to the top of the highest tower, throwing rocks in the creek, and listening to the bullfrogs in the marsh and their banjo-like banter. The conditions were ripe for kite-flying, and we did… And no one even got hurt.
In the hustle and bustle of this crazy world, and at a point in life where some days it can seem like you’re paddling so hard just to keep your head above water, it was a nice reminder that there is so much more to life than the daily grind, the chores, and getting everybody out the door on time.
For this day I say thank You.
